Introduction: Jocelyn Gao
Hi everyone!
My name is Jocelyn Gao, and I am so excited to be your head chair for UN Habitat at BMUN LXX this year! This is my second year in BMUN as a secretariat member and my sixth year doing MUN overall (I attended BMUN as a delegate all four years of high school!), so MUN has played a pretty important role in my life. I remember what it's like to be in your shoes right now, so I'm hoping to make committee fun and memorable for you all.
A bit about me: I am a second-year majoring in Business Administration and Political Economy (with a potential minor in Data Science). I'm from San Ramon, CA and have lived in the Bay Area my whole life, so I'm decently familiar with good restaurants, cafes, and hangout spots – feel free to ask me for recommendations. Outside of BMUN, I'm a part of the Berkeley Forum, a club that hosts speaker events on campus, and Spoon University at Berkeley, a magazine about food. Some of my hobbies include making matcha lattes, creating Spotify playlists, taking 20 minute power naps, going on spontaneous trips to SF, and getting lost in campus libraries.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to let us know at unhabitatbmunlxx@bmun.org. I'm super excited to meet you all in March!
Warmly,
Jocelyn
